It is also the raw material of butyraldehyde, butyrate, butyl amine and butyl lactate in organic synthesis, the extractant of fats, drugs (such as antibiotic, hormone and vitamin) and spices, the addtive in alkyd resin coatings. Also can be used as the solvent and dewaxing agent of organic dyes and printing ink.
